The profile.
Ren left his laptop open. Charlotte sat down next to him, leaned over, and started reading before he could close it.
It's his story project. A character profile. With her name on it.
You type a direction.
βCharlotte reads Ren's character profile out loud. It's clearly based on her. Ren's denials get weaker with each detail.β
The espresso machine finished its cycle. The cafe hummed with milk steam and keyboard clicks. Charlotte's eyes moved across Ren's laptop screen. Her coffee sat untouched.
"Height 162. Dark brown hair, always in a ponytail." Her head tilted. Her ponytail swayed. "Loves cats. Hates mornings."
"It's fiction. The character is fictional."
She scrolled down. Her free hand caught his wrist before he could reach the keyboard.
"...Talks to her cat like it's a person."
"That could be anyone."
She scrolled again. The chair creaked under her shift in weight.
"...Cries during dog food commercials."
His hand dropped to the table. The plastic of his iced tea cup was warm from his grip.
"Okay. That one is based on you."
Charlotte closed the laptop. The click was soft. She pushed it toward him with two fingers.
"Delete it."
"She's important to the plotβ"
"Delete it."
Ren opened his mouth. Closed it. Opened it again. The iced tea sweated onto his palm.
"She's the love interest."
Charlotte picked up her coffee. The first sip she had taken since she sat down. She set the mug down and looked at him.
"Delete it twice."
Liliana's chair scraped the tile behind them.
You keep the iced tea sweating on his palm. You cut the second 'delete it.' The chair scraping is the hook for the next scene.
Charlotte sips her coffee once. That's the only time she drinks it. The rest of the time she's holding it like a weapon she forgot she had.
You directed the scene. It wrote the words.
β¦Voice that shifts.
Charlotte starts playful and goes flat when she's embarrassed. The AI picked up the pattern from her character profile.
β¦Details that land.
The dog food commercial, the ponytail, the cat conversations. The AI pulled real traits from the character entry and turned them into comedy.
β¦Keep what works.
Cut lines, rearrange paragraphs, rewrite the ending. The draft is yours. The AI waits for your next direction.
You direct. The AI writes in character.
Type what happens next from inside the scene. "Ren tries to explain the character profile to Charlotte." The AI writes the words, stays in character, and uses only what your character would know.
If your character only knows someone as "the quiet one," that's all the AI has to work with. You see through their eyes. The AI sees through their eyes. Keep what works, fix what doesn't.
one stir. she's done talking.
different smile~
"Liliana sits down at the table and asks about the closed laptop. Charlotte explains. Liliana reframes the situation."
"What happened?" Ren's mouth opened. Charlotte answered first.
"He wrote a character based on me." Charlotte stirred her coffee once. "She's the love interest." Liliana's eyes moved from Ren to the laptop to Charlotte's flat expression. The corner of her mouth lifted. A different smile than the one she walked in with. "So you wrote a love story about the two of you."
